Amin Karbasi, Ph.D., is a Senior Director of Data Science at Cisco where he spearheads the company's research initiatives in the ever-evolving field of AI safety and security. He is also an Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science at Yale University (currently on leave). Amin previously served as the Chief Science Officer at Robust Intelligence before the acquisition by Cisco, as well as a Staff Researcher for Google AI where he made many significant contributions to scalable optimization for foundation models, data curation, and AI privacy. Over his career, Amin’s groundbreaking AI work has been published over 150 times in top-tier ML conferences.
